Deane Ogden is an award-winning film composer, having written the scores for over twenty feature films including “The Sensei”, “Dreams On Spec”, “In the Eyes of a Killer”, Lionsgate’s “The Way Home”, and most recently Sony’s 2011 actioner “The Hit List”, starring Cuba Gooding Jr. and Cole Hauser. Deane’s music is featured in the Touchstone Pictures summer blockbuster Surrogates, starring Bruce Willis.

Also very active in music for television, Deane was commissioned to write the orchestral themes for Michael Phelps’ record-breaking gold medal run during the 2008 Olympic Games, which was the most-viewed event in American television history. Ogden has also composed music for NBC’s primetime drama LAX starring Heather Locklear, ABC Family’s Exploration with Richard Wiese, and multiple seasons of the Emmy Award-winning Monday Night Football for ABC Sports.

As a studio percussionist, Deane has recorded with artists such as Tina Turner, Seal, Chris Cornell, Rihanna, and Dido, as well as work with superstar producers David Foster and Chris Lord-Alge.

Deane is also the founder of SCOREcast, the immensely popular internet community for the professional film music industry, which focuses on the art and business of writing music for film and TV.
